Tandem Now – the Piloting of Blended Mentoring begun!

After the 2nd partners meeting of the Tandem Now Project, Leonardo Da Vinci Trasnfer of Innovation, held in Bilbao at the end of October, the testing phase of the “Blended Mentoring” begun in Italy and in all partners’ countries (Austria, Irlanda, Turchia, Germany, Spain). The project aims to test and implement a new mentoring methodology which includes a Curriculum to train mentors and the use of social media in the relationship between mentors and mentees. The piloting phase started in November, the first step was to identify the potential mentors who will participate in the training course to be held at CESIE in April, and they will participate in the blended mentoring activities. Mentors are adult people with a migrant background who can act as role-model for mentees guiding them in their vocational career, since they are integrated in the Italian context e they achieved their cultural and professional aims.

The Mentees, young people with a migrant background who want to be supported in their educational and professional career, can participate in the testing phase. They will be selected in the next months. The piloting phase will last from April to June, and during the next months there will be events involving all participants and online and face to face meetings between each mentor/mentee couple.
